Frippertripper is a free, browser-based synthesizer and tape-echo delay looper inspired by Frippertronics — the tape-loop technique guitarist Robert Fripp built from two reel-to-reel recorders to layer ambient, self-accompanying loops. Frippertripper recreates that workflow with the Web Audio API: play a Roland SH-101-style analog synth voice through a real-time echo delay and shape the result with a built-in limiter, all live in your browser. No installation, plugins or account needed.

• Synth — SH-101-style VCO (saw, pulse w/ PWM, sub-oscillator, noise), self-oscillating 24dB/oct filter, shared envelope, LFO and bender
• Echo delay looper — repeat time, feedback and dry/wet volume
• Limiter — threshold, ceiling and gain-reduction metering
